Gold for Pugh

At the weekend Jess Pugh who is sponsored by Forza won Gold at the 8 Nations U/15 event held in Berlin.

Jess who partnered Ira Banerjee beat Jenson and Lungaard in a thrilling 3 Set match, winning 21-19 in the third. Jess and Ira lost the opening set 11-21 but then came strong in the second set winning 21-16 and then played some great badminton to win the final set 21-19. It capped a good weekend for Jess who also won bronze in the mixed doubles with Forza sponsored Ben Lane.

England came runners up in the team event so it was a full set of medals for Jess on a very good weekend for the young player from Shropshire.

Everyone at Forza would like to congratulate Jess on winning her International title and to Ben on gaining his individual Bronze medal in the mixed doubles.
